The curve has two humps and a thin middle, and the median sits on the shoulder of the lower one, with a second, larger cluster of homes above it. An average drawn across all of this lands where comparatively few homes actually are. The further a home sits from that middle, the less the average has to say about its bill.

What this view shows, and what it does not

  1. It shows the spread of the method's modelled heating hours across a real cohort, never a measurement of any particular home's meter.
  2. It shows aggregates only. The smallest band is ten homes; no address, identifier or figure for a single home is published.
  3. The marker is a reading tool for the curve, not a reading of your home. A reading of your own can be built from what is already recorded about your house, in the governed record, before anyone visits.
